The odyssey of Eric Cartman's true lineage was a huge mystery of South Park 's first season. It even got to the point that an investigation took place, leading to the townspeople meeting for a revelation. Naturally, there was a cliffhanger before that happened. But when the first episode of Season 2 debuted a few weeks later, it wasn't the one fans expected.
Instead, it was an epic April Fools' joke featuring Terrance and Phillip. Throughout the series, the discussion of Cartman's father's identity was has come up a few times. Eventually, Jack Tenorman was finally revealed as his dad in Season 14, Episode 6. If the name Tenorman seems familiar, that's because it also belongs to Scott Tenorman, one of Cartman's many nemeses. He's the kid Cartman utterly destroyed by killing his parents and feeding them to him as a child.
In the Season 14 episode, a completely insane Scott Tenorman returned to reveal that he and Cartman shared the same father, meaning Cartman had killed his own dad. Eric wasn't phased by this in the least. Instead, he was more upset that he had ginger DNA floating around his system, which was far more typical of Cartman's usual line of thinking.
But several seasons earlier, the search for Cartman's father began in Season 1, Episode That season finale featured Dr. Mephisto doing a DNA test to determine who Cartman's real father was. It was a necessary test, seeing as almost any man in town could have been Eric's father, including the roster of the Denver Broncos. That gag eventually paid off in Season 14 because, as it turns out, Jack Tenorman used to play for the Broncos. The finale ended on a cliffhanger , promising to announce the truth four weeks later in Season 2, Episode 1.
Due to the fact that the Denver Broncos had been having a really good year, they all believed that revealing that Jack Tenorman having a bastard child who wants to meet him could be enough to distract him from the football season. As such, when Eric years later, attempted to discover the truth about his father in " Cartman's Mom is a Dirty Slut " and " Cartman's Mom is Still a Dirty Slut ", the entire town covered up the truth and altered the paternity results, and told Eric that his mother was in truth his father, due to her being a hermaphrodite.
After discovering this, Scott Tenorman resurrected the Ginger Separatist Movement that Cartman had once formed, in order to use them in an elaborate scheme to reveal the truth to Cartman in the hopes of demoralizing him. Scott's plan unfortunately worked, but not in the way he intended: Cartman was horrified by what he learned, but not because he had caused the death of his father and fed him to his half-brother unaware that Jack was his father, but instead because he was half-Ginger.
Jack Tenorman was a team member of the Denver Broncos, so it was assumed when he played football professionally, he wore the team uniform. When he wasn't playing football, he wore a teal shirt with a black tie and black trousers. He had red hair, red eyebrows, and a red mustache. South Park Archives Explore.
