What does legendary sannin mean

Kakashi's strength pales in comparison to the Sannin put together. That's not to say that he isn't strong as even after losing his eye, he was worthy of being made the Hokage of the village after Tsunade Senju, until Naruto was ready. Sasuke Uchiha is the shinobi known to be closest to Naruto Uzumaki in terms of power and just like him, he was gifted Six Paths powers as well.

Thanks to his new-found abilities, he became powerful enough to fight against some of the strongest characters in the series, such as Madara Uchiha and even Kaguya to some extent. Sasuke's skill is vastly superior to that of the Legendary Sannin, as evident from the fact that he could match the Gods of the Narutoverse.

Ay, also known as the Fourth Raikage, was once the leader of Kumogakure and an extremely powerful shinobi. He led his village into the Fourth Great Ninja War, where he proved that he was an amazing fighter. Strong as he was, however, the Fourth Raikage certainly had his limits and he could not even match Madara Uchiha with the help of the other Kage.

He was, more or less, around as strong as Tsunade and definitely weaker than the Sannin combined. He became the First Hokage of the village, all thanks to his incredible strength and compassion. During his era, Hashirama Senju was known to be the strongest shinobi alive. The name Sannin was bestowed upon them somewhat begrudgingly, as it turns out. The first person to call the group by that name was Hanzo of the Salamander, fiendish leader of the village of Amegakure.

He gifted them the moniker after they survived a devastating battle during the Second Shinobi War. Hanzo wiped out every other Konohagakure soldier who fought against him that day. When he realized that Jiraiya, Tsunade and Orochimaru had survived while everyone else around them perished, he dubbed them "Konoha's Legendary Sannin.

We don't need to tell you that the name stuck. Hanzo himself hung around for a long while after, and the name came right along with him. The Sannin would get theirs, however.

Hanzo ultimately meets his end at the hands of Nagato, a trainee of Jiraiya's, out for vengeance after Hanzo ambushed him and his friends, resulting in the death of a comrade. The status bestowed upon the three Sannin put them on the fast track to becoming well-respected leaders in Konoha. Jiraiya is ultimately uninterested in becoming the Hokage, the leader of the village recognized as the strongest ninja, preferring to focus on training younger ninjas and writing novels.

Orochimaru deeply wants to control the village, but his experimentation on other shinobi and deep character flaws make him an ill-fitting choice for village leader. Tsunade is also considered for the role of Hokage, but her extreme disinterest in matters of state and a recently developed fear of blood make the campaign a non-starter. She simply can't bear the idea of another war. Where many people would leverage their newfound fame into a more consequential role in their homeland, Tsunade nearly disappears.

After a long period in the wilderness, Tsunade returns to political life as an older woman. She does ultimately end up taking the role of Hokage, after a meeting with Naruto breaks the spell of her own defeatism. The three Sannin have very little in common. They are wildly different in temperament, levels of ambition and life goals. There's almost nothing that they can agree on, as their constant arguments and eventual paths highlight.

The intention was always the same: to keep the Konohagakure villagers from catching wind of what he was up to. For a long time, he succeeded, but eventually, his experiments went too far and Konoha Shinobi were sent to track down his numerous hideouts over the years, but they never found all of them.

On one such occasion, she gave him the strike of his life. They maintained a training relationship and Jiraiya was even the Shinobi entrusted to bring her back when she was offered the Hokage position. When Shinobi graduate the Academy and are assigned a three-man team, they also gain a sensei. Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya had one powerful sensei in the form of the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, who taught them what it meant to be a Shinobi and saw the potential for greatness in them.

He also saw the potential for darkness in Orochimaru. This caused the group to make their first true stand as adults. One of the most powerful Shinobi in the Naruto franchise history is Hashirama Senju.

Orochimaru, naturally, wanted to replicate the abilities that made Hashirama unique. When they joined other teams of ninjas in a battle against Hanzo, they were the only team to survive. It was Hanzo himself who termed them Legendary Sannin for going up against him.

Funnily enough, the battle that earned them their name was also the last time the three teamed up together. The next time they were in the same battle was against each other when Jiraiya tracked down Tsunade to ask her to become Hokage. Following the events of the Second Shinobi World War, Tsunade began making preparations to increase her own strength and she did it with the Strength of a Hundred Seal.

The seal, which fans recognize as the diamond in the middle of her forehead, requires her to maintain very precise chakra control. Everyday, she had to divert some of her own chakra to the seal, gradually increasing how much chakra was stored there. Once the seal was released, it multiplied her strength level by an enormous amount, but she waited decades before unleashing the full power.

In order to do that, he had to infiltrate another Shinobi settlement. He pretended to be a Shinobi native to Kumogakure in order to get into the city. There were medical-nin in Konoha long before Tsunade began her training in the field. It was Tsunade, however, that launched the movement for better medical training and placement of Shinobi.

It meant that medical ninjas were spread thin on battlefields with many Shinobi left with the consequences. Tsunade planted the seed for more medical training to begin and she set Konoha on the path to require medical training for one member of every team. Hiruzen Sarutobi taught the Sannin about summoning techniques when they were on his squad. He also taught them all to summon with their left hands. Interestingly, when it came to actually making contracts, they all went their separate ways.

Orochimaru actually came across the cave of the White Snake on his own, learning about the process and increasing his own fondness for snakes. Register Don't have an account? View source. View form History Talk Do you like this video? Play Sound. Categories Teams.
